Matthew 8:27 — Sunday, November 1, 2026

In chapter 8, Jesus performs a series of miracles that reveal his power over sickness, death and nature. By calming the storm, he shows that even the winds and the sea obey him. The disciples, who were in the same boat, are amazed and ask what kind of man this is. The scene reminds us that Jesus is present in the storms of our lives, not far from them. When everything seems out of control, he has authority to bring peace. Our trust must rest in the one who has power over all things.
