Isaiah 45:22 — Saturday, October 3, 2026

Isaiah chapter 45 announces that Cyrus himself, king of Persia, would be used by God to free Israel, showing that the Lord governs all history. In the middle of the chapter, verse 22 launches a universal invitation: look unto me and be saved, all the ends of the earth. Salvation is not limited to Israel but reaches all nations, because God is the only God. The invitation is simple and profound: to look to the Lord, turning away from idols and from our own strength. The same text echoes in the New Testament, when Paul announces salvation to all peoples. Today this call still stands for every person, anywhere in the world. Salvation is looking in the right direction.
