Explanation

In this teaching psalm, the psalmist Asaph summons the generations not to hide the Lord's works from their children. The verse highlights the duty of passing on the faith, telling the coming generations of God's praise and strength. Memory is the antidote to forgetfulness, for the people who forget God's wonders end up going astray. Today, every family and Christian community is called to pass on the story of salvation. Telling our children what God has done is not mere remembrance; it is living worship. In this way, God's faithfulness crosses the centuries through testimony.
