One of the most beloved and best-known psalms in the Bible. The verse affirms: Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. Dwelling and resting are verbs of permanence: this is not a visit but living in God's presence. The psalm promises protection against visible and invisible dangers. Today, this verse invites us to make God our home, not just our emergency resource. Whoever takes refuge in the Most High finds a peace that the world cannot give. The shadow of God is the safest place that exists for the soul.
