Explanation
One of the most celebrated psalms begins with an invitation of the soul to praise: Praise the Lord, my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. It is a call to complete worship that involves the whole being. The psalm recalls God's benefits: forgiveness, healing, redemption, and love. Today, this verse invites us to remember all the Lord's benefits. When the soul learns to bless God, gratitude becomes a way of life. Praising with all that we are is recognizing that nothing about us is too small for God. True worship is born from the memory of divine goodness.
