The psalm is a great celebration of deliverance and gratitude. The verse declares: The Lord is my strength and my song; he has become my salvation. In the midst of danger, the psalmist finds in God strength, joy, and salvation. The same phrase is repeated at the crossing of the Red Sea, joining generations of deliverance. Today, this verse invites us to make the Lord our song, even in battle. When God is our strength, fear loses its power over us. The Lord's salvation becomes our most beautiful song. In him we find everything we need to overcome.
