Psalms 93:1
The Lord reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the Lord is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Explanation

The psalm celebrates the absolute kingship of God over all creation. The verse declares: The Lord reigns, he is robed in majesty; the Lord is robed in majesty and armed with strength. The world may tremble and the sea roar, but the Lord's throne is established from of old. This is poetry of trust in divine sovereignty. Today, amid news that disturbs the heart, we remember that God is still in control. The Lord's majesty does not depend on human circumstances. That is why we can rest: the One who reigns over all is also our Father. The certainty of his firm power fills the heart with peace.
