Genesis 36:7
For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

Explanation

The chapter lists Esau's descendants and explains the separation between the two brothers. The verse reveals the practical reason: their riches were too great for them to dwell together. The land could not support the herds of two growing peoples. God had also blessed Esau, and that abundance made separation necessary. The text shows that not every separation is punishment; sometimes it is provision. Each brother went his own way, and Esau was also blessed. The old dispute did not turn into mutual destruction, because there was room for each one. Today we are invited to accept with peace the separations that life requires. God gives room and provision in new paths. Blessing multiplies in different destinations.
