When everything seems to be falling apart, David hears advice to flee, but he chooses to trust in the Lord. Psalm 11 affirms that God is in his holy temple, watching everything with justice. Verse 7 closes the psalm with a certainty: the Lord is righteous and loves righteousness, and the upright will see his face. Though the world may seem dominated by evil, God's throne stands firm. We do not need to live in fear or despair, because the government of the universe is in good hands. Those who love what is right have a secure future and a solid hope. Today we can rest in the certainty that God sees, judges, and rewards with perfect justice.
