David laments that human words are false and deceptive, but he finds a precious contrast in God's words. Verse 6 says that the words of the Lord are pure, like silver refined seven times. God's promises can be tested, examined, and confirmed; there is no deceit in them. In a world full of empty speeches and broken promises, the Word of God is the only reliable foundation. It guides, comforts, and corrects us without deception. Today we are called to build our lives on that rock and to be people whose word is also trustworthy. God's truth stands firm forever.
