Psalms 30:5
For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.

Explanation

Psalm 30 is David's song for the dedication of his house, celebrating deliverance from death. Verse 5 contains one of the most precious promises of the Bible: weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. David speaks from experience: sadness is real, but it is not eternal. God turns weeping into dancing and night into dawn. This text does not deny pain; it points to its end. When we go through mourning, struggles, or failures, we can remember that suffering has a deadline. God's grace, however, has no end. The morning of joy will surely come for those who wait on the Lord.
