Isaiah 62:3
“Thou shalt also be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord, and a royal diadem in the hand of thy God.”

Explanation

Isaiah chapter 62 speaks of God's love for Zion, a city he will not stop restoring, calling it with new and precious names. Verse 3 is an image of honor: you will be a crown of glory in the hand of the Lord and a royal diadem in the hand of your God. God treats his people as a precious treasure, not as something disposable. The crown in God's hand means dignity, belonging, and joy. When we belong to God, he carries us like one who holds what he values most. This promise of restoration was fulfilled in Israel's history and points to the church. Today we can live with the certainty that we are precious in the Lord's eyes. God is not ashamed of his own.
