Explanation
Isaiah chapter 65 closes God's answer to the prayer of the previous chapter, announcing new heavens and a new earth. Verse 24 brings a surprising promise of intimacy: before they call, I will answer; while they are yet speaking, I will hear. God anticipates the request, like a father who knows his children before they open their mouths. That closeness is the sign of a restored relationship, without the barriers that sin created. The promise points to God's glorious future but also to the communion he offers today. Praying is not informing God but living in communion with the one who already knows us completely. Today we can trust that our prayers are heard even before we finish speaking.
