In chapter 6, Jesus teaches about prayer, fasting and trust in the Father's care. He compares anxiety about food and clothing to the unbelief of those who do not know divine goodness. The command is simple and profound: put the Kingdom of God first. When we do this, the remaining needs are taken care of by the Father himself. This verse is an antidote to the anxiety that marks our age. Seeking God first reorganizes our priorities and calms our hearts.
