In chapter 10, Paul explains how the righteousness that comes from faith can be reached. The gospel does not demand an impossible journey, but a response near to the heart and the mouth. Confessing with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and believing in the heart that God raised him is the path of salvation. Confession makes faith public, and the resurrection is the seal of God's power. Salvation is not a heroic effort, but the humble reception of a gift. This word can be preached and lived anywhere.
