Psalm 45 is a royal wedding poem, celebrating the king's union. Though it speaks of an earthly monarch, the text points to the greater King, Christ. Verse 2 says: you are fairer than the children of men; grace is poured into your lips. The psalmist celebrates the king's beauty and grace, qualities that win the people's hearts. For us, that image points to Jesus, whose grace and truth delight our hearts. The message invites us to contemplate the beauty of Christ and to desire to live under his reign. Today we can admire the Lord's grace and let it transform our character. Serving the King of glory is the greatest privilege.
