The psalm begins with a praise that runs through the whole book: Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever. God's goodness is the foundation of praise. The psalm, however, also remembers Israel's failures, showing divine faithfulness despite human unfaithfulness. Today, this verse comforts us with a permanent truth: God's love never runs out. Even when we fail, the Lord's goodness stands firm. Gratitude for his patience moves us to repentance and new beginnings. God's eternal love is the anchor of hope for all generations.
