The psalm opens with a commitment of praise before the gods: I will praise you with all my heart; before the gods I will sing your praise. David declares his total devotion to the Lord. Despite opposition, the psalmist chooses to worship the true God openly. Today, this verse challenges us to praise God without timidity. In a world of many gods and competing values, our worship is a declaration of faithfulness. Sincere praise is born of a whole heart, not a divided one. Before any human pride, the Lord's name is exalted. May our testimony make the praise of the one true God resound.
