Explanation
The psalm is David's cry from the cave: I cry aloud to the Lord; I lift up my voice to the Lord for mercy. Hidden and persecuted, David pours out all his anguish before God. The psalm speaks of loneliness and few faithful friends. Today, this verse teaches us to bring our deepest afflictions to God. We do not need to pretend strength before the Most High; he knows our path. Pouring out the heart in prayer relieves the soul and renews hope. In the cave of life, the Lord is our refuge and portion. God hears the sincere cry and answers with faithfulness.
