Psalms 145:1 — Monday, May 25, 2026

The psalm opens with a solemn exaltation: I will exalt you, my God and King; I will praise your name for ever and ever. It is an acrostic hymn that celebrates the greatness of God. The psalm proclaims the majesty of the divine Kingdom and the goodness of the Lord. Today, this verse teaches us that praise is the natural response to the God who is King. Exalting God is recognizing his rule over all things. Blessing his name forever expresses a continual praise. Whoever contemplates the Lord's greatness discovers infinite reasons for worship. Every generation is called to proclaim the works of the eternal King.
