Solomon describes the reward of those who pursue the values that please God. To follow means to seek with intensity, like someone chasing a goal. Those who seek righteousness and mercy make it a direction for life, not a pose. The text promises that such a person will find life, righteousness, and honour. There is a beautiful paradox: those who run after prestige often lose all three; those who seek to do good find them. The promised life is full and meaningful. Today we are invited to evaluate what we are really pursuing. Following righteousness and mercy is the path God honours.
