The first part places responsibility on the one who teaches, usually the parents. The final promise brings hope: deep formation leaves marks for a lifetime. This does not mean children will never stray, but that example planted with love has lasting strength. Today the text challenges parents and educators to invest time and presence. The best inheritance is teaching children to walk with God.
