Walking with God means living in constant communion, in his presence, day after day. It is a life of practical faith, not merely intellectual belief. The second part shows the extraordinary outcome: God took him, sparing him from death. The brevity of the record contrasts with the depth of the life. Today this verse asks us what kind of life we are leaving behind. We do not need great deeds; walking with God is enough. Daily communion with him is the greatest inheritance.
