When wickedness filled the earth and the human heart thought only of violence, one man stood out. The chapter describes a corrupt generation, but in the face of coming judgment God saw Noah. Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD means that Noah received God's unearned favor. Grace is not human merit but a gift that transforms the life of the one who receives it. The next verse explains the effect: Noah was just, perfect, and walked with God. God's grace always precedes the human response. In the middle of corruption, a faithful heart makes a difference. Today this text brings hope: even in difficult environments, it is possible to live differently. Grace reaches those who fear God.
