Psalms 13:6
“I will sing unto the Lord, because he hath dealt bountifully with me.”

Explanation
Psalm 13 begins with a distressing question: how long, Lord? David feels that God seems absent, but his faith does not go out. In the final verse, lament turns into praise: I will sing to the Lord, because he has dealt bountifully with me. David decides to trust in God's goodness even before seeing the answer. That is the test of faith: giving thanks before the miracle. We, too, often go through seasons when God seems silent. The way out is to keep crying out while also remembering the care we have already received. Whoever remembers God's favors finds strength to sing even while waiting.
