Psalms 24:1 — Saturday, January 24, 2026

Psalm 24 is a hymn of worship and of entering the temple. Verse 1 affirms that the earth is the Lord's and everything in it, for it was he who founded it. Nothing we possess is truly ours in the end; everything is a gift from God. That awareness produces gratitude, generosity, and care for creation. David reminds us that we are not owners but stewards of what the Lord entrusts to us. The psalm then asks who may ascend the hill of the Lord and answers: those with clean hands and a pure heart. True worship begins with this posture of humility before the Creator. Today we can live acknowledging God's sovereignty over everything.
