Isaiah chapter 54 is a song of hope for the people who would go through exile, full of promises of restoration and enduring love. Verse 17 closes the message with a strong promise: no weapon formed against you shall prosper. God guarantees that accusations and attacks against his people will not prevail. Righteousness and protection come from the Lord, and the heritage of God's servants is that certainty. The promise does not say there will be no battles, but that no final victory will belong to evil. For the church, this word brings confidence in the middle of persecutions and pressures. Today we can rest knowing that the weapons of words, lies, and fear do not have the final word. Victory belongs to the God who defends his own.
