Psalm 50 is God's call to his people through Asaph, correcting empty worship. In verse 15, the Lord invites: call upon me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. God desires not merely rituals but a real relationship with his children. Calling on God in distress is trusting that he can deliver. True praise is born from the experience of those who have been helped by the Lord. This verse joins prayer, deliverance, and gratitude in a single movement. When we go through difficult days, we can call on God with confidence. The promise is clear: he delivers and receives glory. Worship that pleases God comes from hearts that depend on him.
