Psalm 68 celebrates the greatness of God as the God of battles and the defender of the vulnerable. Verse 19 says: blessed be the Lord who daily bears our burden; God is our salvation. David describes a God present in the routine, carrying our weights every day. Salvation is not only an event of the past; it is continuous care. Bearing our burden includes worries, pains, responsibilities, and fears. God never tires of sustaining us. This verse invites us to thank God daily for his patience and love. We can hand him the weight of each day with the certainty that he carries it. Blessing the Lord is recognizing his constant goodness. In him we find salvation every morning.
