Solomon deals here with the relationship between planning and trusting. It is not wrong to make plans, and the Bible values careful thinking. The question is to whom we hand over those plans. Committing our works to the Lord means submitting projects and efforts to God's will, turning them into prayer. The verse promises that in this way our plans are established and gain direction. This does not guarantee the absence of difficulties but the security of walking with God. Many times we plan as if everything depended on us, and then we become anxious. Today we are invited to place every project before God, trusting in the outcome.
