Proverbs 23:26
My son, give me thine heart, and let thine eyes observe my ways.

Explanation

Solomon ends the chapter with a personal and profound appeal. He does not ask only for obedience but for the heart: my son, give me thine heart. This is the language of affection and trust. Those who give their heart give the center of their decisions and desires. When the heart surrenders, the father's values become attractive. The verse anticipates what Jesus would ask: to love God with all our heart. It is not enough to follow rules from a distance; God desires communion and surrender. Today we are invited to give our heart to God. When he occupies the center, everything falls into place.
