Genesis 24:27 — Friday, July 24, 2026

Abraham sends his servant to his homeland to find a wife for Isaac. The servant prays for direction, and before he finishes his prayer, Rebekah appears and answers the requested sign. The verse records the servant's joy: blessed be the LORD, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth. He recognizes that, while walking on the way, God led him. The phrase I being in the way shows that divine guidance accompanies those who seek to do God's will step by step. Prayer and action walked together that day. Today we are invited to seek God's direction in every decision. He delights in guiding his own. When we walk in prayer, God prepares the way.
