Isaiah 1:18
Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

Explanation

Isaiah opens his book with a hard accusation against Judah, a people that had been so cared for by God and yet had turned rebellious. In the middle of the judgment, the Lord surprises everyone with an invitation: come, let us reason together, like a father longing to be reconciled with his children. The image of scarlet being washed white as snow shows that no stain is too deep for divine mercy. Sin, even the most visible and deeply rooted, can be forgiven when there is honesty and a real willingness to change. This promise invites us to stop running from God and to accept the conversation he offers. Today the same voice still calls us to a true new beginning.
