Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruninghooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

Explanation

Isaiah chapter 2 paints a vision of the mountain of the Lord's house raised above all others, drawing all nations to learn his ways. In that day the Lord will settle disputes with justice, and war will give way to peace. The image of swords beaten into plowshares shows that true peace is not built by human treaties but flows from the presence and teaching of God. Violence will no longer be learned because the human heart will be transformed. This hope urges us to build peace already today in our closest relationships. Walking in the light of the Lord means choosing reconciliation over conflict.
